... I've been helping him train. Not his pokemon, he's doing fine on his own, but fighting himself... since he wanted to be able to fight with me.
I trust him. I know he can handle himself. But there's just cases where I don't want to risk it.
And yeah. Learning to focus on surviving rather than winning... was a big step.

When he turned to stone while I wasn't around, I was pretty pissed. [More than pissed.] And when I finally got to come into contact with the chick who caused it... I freaked out Crystal. I also almost died again later that following battle.

What I'm getting at, and it's probably pointless to even tell you but I will anyways, don't get carried away.
