You're gonna drive yourself nuts with the mind set of trying to prevent everything, and you could also drive him nuts being all up in his space all the time about it and not taking care of yourself. It means a ton more to believe in someone and have their back, than to always unintentionally doubt them by taking the lead all the time.

You're actually setting yourself up to make things worse if something were to go wrong because it'll end up in more 'coulda, shoulda, woulda' since you try to plan so much already. Holes appear whenever the hell they want. Why not enjoy the day and time as if it were the last of it? [hand wave.] Maybe you'll get it later.
